Hello world!

Sure, I started a blog—but not because everyone else already has a blog—and certainly not because I am so in love with myself that I have to capture my own thoughts in numerous ways, just to impress myself even more! The truth is, I miss writing—and I’ve become a real fan of so many other blogs in recent months. I do not want to focus so much on me, as on everything else around me! After all, that’s the intriguing stuff! The world is charming and fascinating and always exciting. I just try to follow my passion, which always leads somewhere interesting!

Today is also a new moon solar eclipse—supposedly the largest or longest eclipse of this century (or something cosmic to that effect)! I am always a bit on the fence about astrology: not that I follow it by any means, but I’ll stop and read an interesting article about it that comes my way (after all, there are no accidents). Perhaps the eclipse/new moon drove me into the blogosphere—who knows?

There is, however, one thing I know for sure (as the eleven o’clock news touts the dangers of hands-free cell phones): nothing in all the world will ever, ever make me wear one of those horrid blue tooth headsets! As for those (both men and women) who choose to wear them outside the car—even when not on the phone—these people should be stopped immediately! Forget parking tickets! At least in the metro DC area, ticketing these “Star Trek borg-looking wanna-be’s” would be a profitable endeavor, indeed! More on this . . . and many other fashion, shopping, and general living issues in our nation’s capital to come!
